Going to try a slightly different approach to the Creative Effects Challenge this week. No specific tutorial to follow but I've picked one of the Effects that you may not have used too often and ask that you incorporate it into your creation. Using anything else is fine as long as at some stage you use Glowing Edges. You can find Glowing Edges under Filter>Stylize . If it's not available you may need to convert the image to 8 bit as it's one of the filters that hasn't been updated to work with 16 bit images. The Glowing Edges filter identifies the edges of color and adds a neon-like glow to them. You can set the edge width, brightness, and smoothness. Monochrome images will give monochrome glows and the filter is most effective on images with lots of edges but also gives odd results on curvy images so try it on anything. Here's one example of just applying Glowing Edges and changing the blend mode - in this case to Luminosity but I've found Overlay and Difference give interesting effects depending on the image.
